The U.P. Home and Garden Show, f.k.a. The U.P. Builders Show, is coming up in just a few months, April 23rd through the 25th. With the pandemic taking over planning in 2020, the show was forced to move to a different location. The Westwood Mall allowed for the vendors to be classified in a 'retail shopping' setting versus an event gathering. Vendors will be spread out in the corridors and in some of the empty store fronts like the old MC Sports.
With the change of ownership comes changes to the show as well. Some may be bittersweet but all in all, we feel the changes will be great! This year we will not be doing a Children's Area. Instead, the first 500 kids through the door will receive a Kids Construction Pack. Sponsors can put in their swag and goodies for the kids. We are also opening the show to more gardening and landscaping vendors with the show being about 7 weeks later in the season. Let's pray for no late April blizzards! The biggest change will be the addition of 30 outdoor spaces. These will accomodate larger vendors like equipment dealers, sheds, waste management, vehicle dealerships, mobile homes and more.
